Ben has always put his family first, even before football, rugby, and craft beer! After admitting that he probably works too many hours in the office, he always has time for his family. This is definitely a value that runs through the JBAndrews business ethos, as the team are like family and they pride themselves on retaining and adding new team members to their ‘family tree’.
Even though recruitment was never on his radar, the industry runs in his family network. A family friend introduced Ben to the world of recruitment back in 2013 after he graduated, and since then he has never looked back! Recruitment has not just brought Ben happiness and determination, it’s now in his blood and it is also where he met his now wife and mother of his daughter.
Ben started his career at Executive Search in JBAndrews’ parent company and led their London office after graduating from Lancaster University Management School, with a degree in Business Studies. He had over 4 very enjoyable years down south before he was given the opportunity to go back up north to start and co-own JBAndrews with Josh, where they decided to focus solely on the Logistics and Supply Chain industries.
Both Ben and Josh have worked incredibly hard, taking the business from a small office with just 3 employees to now having a team of over 25 people; as well as specialising in 3 main industry sectors, in the space of 3 years.
As with pretty much most of the team working at JBAndrews, Ben is sports mad, with football and rugby being Ben’s obsessions outside of work. However, we think the fact that the team loves sports so much means it brings out their competitive side both on and off the pitch!
