VP Commercial Freight Forwarding Europe

The Client: 
* JBAndrews is working with a leading global Transport, Freight Forwarding & Logistics company operating in Europe with several key partners.
* They provide multi-modal logistics solutions and supply chain optimisation solutions throughout Europe & Worldwide.

The Role: 
* Due to plans for expansion in the region, the business requires an experienced European Airfreight Manager to help drive growth in Europe with newly acquired product-specific industry business, and to integrate these with the current business.

* The role will involve Air Freight product (strategy, pricing, procurement, and sales) responsibility.

* Targeting leading clients within select industry verticals (eg. Industrial, Automotive, Aerospace, & Fashion), and by internal operations too, you will utilise your high level relationships to help set the structures in place to secure sales growth and to align the business with the strategic intents outlined.
* This position will involve fostering new relationships, taking final decisions on which to keep and which to cut, and generating new business to be fostered for the long-term.

* The role will involve significant Product Development work initially too to push and align the strategic growth set out.

The Requirements: 
* The business is seeking someone with a background in Airfreight Product Management at a senior operations, sales, and commercial, level to control the European function.
* You should possess at least 10 years’ experience in Airfreight Forwarding Sales & Operations consistently performing to ensure sales targets are hit and the logistical aspects are satisfied on a day-to-day, and strategic, level.

* Ideally the candidate will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills through prior experience within Air Freight Forwarding.
* Ideally the candidate will have managed a medium sized P+L budget.

* Grassroots experience in a logistics environment in a number of different disciplines and locations would be highly beneficial.

* The ideal candidate will be based already in the UK, Netherlands, or Germany.
