Product Manager (Industrial Shelving)

JBAndrews are on the hunt for an experienced commercial and technical professional, to join a leading European manufacturer of MHE & Storage Systems and take responsibility for the Shelving Product Lines as manager across their Industrial Shelving Products (Mobile, Narrow Aisle, Cantilever, Push Back, Mini-Load, etc.) group in Europe.

In this role you will be working alongside the sales, marketing and engineering teams as the strategic head of the product line. You will promote increased sales of the shelving products, identify commercial alliances, potential M&A targets, and new segments to break in to ie. vertical farming.

The ideal candidate will come with significant experience in shelving products, with commercial and technical understanding. In return this role can be based remotely in any major European market/country, with a package flexible based on experience and what you bring to the role.

Key Responsibilites:

• Understanding of European shelving market, segmentations, segment attractiveness
• Propose strategic directions to Group Management with supporting rational
• Identify product range strengths/weakness, as well as identify training needs in sales organizations and develop solutions
• Encouraging sales and marketing organizations to promote shelving sales
• Understand market and industry trends, identify and quantify possible commercial alliances, cooperation and M&A targets
• Understand key competitors active in European market, strengths, weaknesses, and likely actions

Requirements:

• Significant industry experience in shelving, in senior product management / sales or sales engineering roles
• Technical education (Must be credible in technical discussions)
• Commercial understanding and interest
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to travel as required through Europe
