Director of Business Development – Europe & US

JBAndrews are currently partnering with a rapidly growing and private-equity backed small molecule CDMO, who are looking to expand into the European and North American markets. The company are actively searching for a talented and proven hunter in the CDMO space for small molecule API’s to drive expansion in new territories across the globe.

Job Description:

  • Build relationships with innovator pharma companies and other large generic companies for strategic relationship building around supply chain integration on APIs and advanced intermediates.
  • Detailed account mapping of decision makers and influencers in target companies for contract development and manufacturing opportunities.
  • Developing comprehensive view of each key customer and create customized strategies to position CDMO services.
  • Drive execution of a compelling business development program: evaluate key tactical and strategic commercial initiatives, benchmark/review competition, identify new or existing markets / products/ customer opportunities.
  • Resolve customer issues/challenges by systematic problem-solving, leveraging appropriate experts from technical and supply chain teams, leading to fixing underlying root-causes.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of pharma CDMO business development experience in the European and/or US markets.
  • Strong business development/sales acumen with existing deep relationships with respect to CDMO services with innovator companies.
  • Consistent track record of nurturing executive level relationships that catalysed deal flow.
  • In depth understanding of CDMO project lifecycle, including marketing, sales, sourcing/purchasing, product development and supply chain.
  • Ability to employ a collaborative management style to forge cross-cultural and cross-functional relationships to drive results. Extensive experience in working within foreign business cultures and practices; multilingual.
