About the Company:

JBAndrews are currently partnered with a leading distributor of life science chemicals, serving the global pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and nutraceutical markets. With an ambitious growth plan and a growing customer base, the company are searching for a proven Account Manager for the West Coast region to manage and grow the territory, in line with the companies vision.


The ideal candidate will be an experienced, ambitious sales person and proven account manager. They will have a clear track record of nurturing and growing a portfolio of business, selling chemicals, ingredients and raw materials into pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical or nutraceutical customers.


  • Manage an existing multi-million dollar book-of-business, nurturing and developing relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Deliver results in line with agreed upon annual sales.
  • Provide technical formulation support to customers.
  • Provide regular reports of territory sales to management as well as regular forecast updates.
  • Enter and maintain CRM information.
  • Participate in relevant industry tradeshows, among other events.
  • Work cross-functionally with quality personnel and customers to resolve customer complaints.
  • Participate in ongoing personal development opportunities.
  • Travel will be an essential element of the role.


  • A university degree in a life science related discipline e.g: chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences etc.
  • At minimum of 5 years of relevant outside sales experience in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical or nutraceutical industries.
  • A thorough understanding of the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and nutraceutical manufacturing processes.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs & packages.
  • Strong communication skills and understanding of sales process.
  • Possesses analytical skills for independent problem solver.
